Venus & the Flytraps is a DIY girl rock band based in Nashville. Born from like-minded artist duo Brenna Kassis and Cecilia Tomé, the band’s guiding principle rests in the innate un-seriousness of girlhood. Poking fun, making biting remarks, and unexpected vulnerability all make up the DNA of Venus & the Flytraps, which all comes through in their recently released debut album, “Demonette.”
Venus has grown a fanbase across the country with the energetic performances they bring to every tour and festival they play. With their hand-made merchandise to their riot-grrrl-influenced online aesthetic, Venus & the Flytraps has won the hearts of many and aims to win more.
