Sisters Dance Tribe and Anastasia Smith Arts are hosting a dance veil dying workshop where you can create your own custom dyed veil from our white silk blanks.
A whole range of dyes will be provided, and the artists will be very excited to hear that we have three primary colors that ACTUALLY WORK THE WAY PRIMARIES ARE SUPPOSED TO!!! I have been able to mix any color I have tried so far out of just the three primaries! If this doesn’t excite you, don’t worry, I have a full rainbow of colors to work with as well as black and gray.
Because we are family friendly, children are welcome to come with their adults. Juliet will host a fun play day and kids dying crafts will be provided. Children must have a responsible adult with them.
If you would like to try dying silk but don’t want a full size dance veil, you can sign up for a scarf for only 30$. These scarves are warm and lightweight, just like a feather around your neck and make a great option for in between temperatures.
We will have drumming, zills, and dancing as well as food. We will make more arrangements with you as we see how many people we are expecting.
Preregistration is required by May 23.
I will be ordering 8mm silk specifically for this event and need time to stitch up the edges on each individual piece so make sure you sign up and pay early!
Because each veil is truly made just for you there will be No refunds- but I will custom dye your veil and get it to you if you cannot attend.
