About this Event
Join us for a Vegan Lunar New Year Potluck, where delicious plant-based dishes meet meaningful conversations about animal rights and cultural traditions. Lunar New Year is a time to honor renewal, prosperity, and harmony—values that align beautifully with choosing compassion for all beings.
In various Asian cultures, animals play a central role in Lunar New Year symbolism, representing traits like strength, intelligence, and kindness. This celebration offers us a chance to honor those values by reimagining traditions in a way that respects and protects animals.
Together, we’ll share vegan versions of beloved Lunar New Year dishes, connect over shared stories, and explore how compassion for animals ties into the broader fight for justice and liberation—including solidarity with oppressed communities, like standing pro-Palestine.
Bring your favorite plant-based dish, your love for animals, and an open heart. Let’s celebrate renewal in a way that embraces kindness for all beings. Everyone is welcome—join us as we start the New Year with a spirit of unity and compassion! 🐾🎉
