About this Event
Since 1998, the Vieux Carré Property Owner’s, Residents and Associates (VCPORA) has hosted their annual Mother’s Day concert and picnic in Cabrini Park. This family friendly event features a live performance by the beloved New Leviathan Oriental Foxtrot Orchestra, which entertains the crowd with their lively set of vintage American music including fox-trots, two-steps, marches, jazz and blues numbers.
The event is always free and open to the public and guests are encouraged to bring picnic baskets, lawn chairs, blankets, dancing shoes and, of course, their Mom for an afternoon of fun in the in this green oasis in the residential French Quarter. Kids can enjoy Cabrini Park’s ample playground equipment, suitable for a range of ages. This year, you can also enter a Hat Contest!
For liability reasons, VCPORA asks that you please leave pets at home for this event.
