Vape Shop and Tobacco Retailer Ordinance Discussion

Vape shops and tobacco retailers are continuing to pop up across the country, with high number of locations near sensitive locations such as schools. This event will review maps of the retailer locations, discuss their impact on public health, and review policy options for responsible economic development and public health. Examples of recently passed ordinances and policy language will be available. We will also share tobacco and vaping prevention and treatment resources.

Target audience: Elected officials, borough managers and staff, non-profit and community-based organizations, health care and public health, parents and caregivers, students, and the general public.

This event is no-cost and is supported by the Delaware County Tobacco and Vape-Free Coalition, Delaware County Health Department, American Heart Association, CHIMES, and the Borough of Lansdowne.
