We’re excited to announce the rebranding of CreekFest to Valley Fest—a vibrant month-long celebration of everything that makes our collective 'Valley' so special. Hands-on workshops, whānau fun days, community gatherings, and activities highlighting our Valley’s unique biodiversity—the Valley Fest will be bursting with creativity and spirit! The festival brings to life the Valley Project’s vision of a community that is inclusive, connected, and thriving, with a focus on resilience.

Friday, 19 September, 5:30-8:30pm
NEV Community Centre, 270 North Rd.
5:30–7:00pm: Refresher session for experienced dancers.
7:30–8:30pm: Absolute beginners. Every step will be clearly explained so you can dance with confidence. FREE.

NEV Bowling Club, 139 North Rd.
Free dinner for Valley locals! Engage with the community, make new connections, join activities, and indulge in a delicious meal. Bring takeaway containers for any leftovers. Koha welcome.

30 min presentation and kontiki kiln demonstration. Wander around the nursery and learn about native flora in NEV. FREE.

We’re rallying residents, visitors, and volunteers to help nurture our Valley’s native biodiversity by cleaning up their habitat. All tools provided. No experience necessary. Wear closed-toe shoes.

Tour will take place during a working bee so guests can get a fantastic view of what it takes to be a part of this initiative. A showcase of crops, companion planting, and pest control. FREE!

Visit participating local businesses and answer unique trivia questions about each one. Submit all completed answers by the end of the day to go into the draw for a prize! FREE!

Have a FREE go at Lawn Bowls! Bowls supplied. Wear flat-soled shoes to wear on the green, or try it barefoot. BBQ and open bar on the day. Bring change for a raffle. Rain or shine event.
