About this Event

This Self-Love Event at OM Body Studios is designed to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a focus on self-care, mindfulness, and deep relaxation. Rather than emphasizing romantic love, this gathering invites participants to cultivate a deeper connection with themselves through intentional rituals, soothing yoga, and healing sound therapy.

The evening will begin with a warm, welcoming tea ceremony, featuring a blend of organic rose, lavender, and blue lotus tea—each ingredient selected for its calming and heart-opening properties. As participants settle in, they will engage in an intention-setting practice using wildflower-seeded paper. This unique approach allows individuals to write heartfelt messages or affirmations, symbolizing their personal growth and aspirations. Later, the paper can be planted, transforming words of intention into flourishing wildflowers—a beautiful metaphor for personal transformation.

Following the intention-setting practice, guests will be guided through a gentle Yin Yoga session, allowing them to release tension and sink into a deep state of relaxation. Tuning forks will be incorporated into the practice, helping to balance energy and promote vibrational healing. To enhance the meditative experience, the class will be accompanied by a sound bath, where resonant frequencies from singing bowls will wash over participants, encouraging deep rest and mental clarity.

Everyone will leave with a journal to continue their self-reflection journey and a special gift as a token of appreciation for their self-care commitment.

This Valentine’s Day Self-Love Event is perfect for anyone looking to nurture themselves, release stress, and embrace a renewed sense of inner peace. Whether you’re celebrating solo or with a friend, or with your partner this event offers a heart-centered experience designed to uplift, restore, and inspire. You have to fill your cup before you can pour for others 💗

The tea blend offered at the event—organic rose, lavender, and blue lotus—is intentionally chosen for its heart-opening, calming, and meditative properties.

Blue Lotus

Known as the “Flower of Enlightenment,” blue lotus has been used in ancient Egyptian and Ayurvedic traditions for its ability to induce deep relaxation, enhance meditation, and expand consciousness. It contains apomorphine, a compound that promotes a dreamlike state and a sense of euphoria, making it perfect for introspection and spiritual connection. Drinking blue lotus tea before meditation can help quiet the mind, heighten awareness, and encourage a deep sense of inner peace.

Rose

Rose is often associated with the heart chakra and is said to have the highest vibrational frequency of any flower. Energetically, it promotes self-love, compassion, and emotional healing. The delicate floral notes of rose tea help uplift the spirit, dissolve stress, and create a feeling of warmth and openness—perfect for a self-love ritual.

Lavender

Lavender is renowned for its calming, stress-reducing effects. Its aroma naturally slows the nervous system, encouraging deeper breaths and relaxation. When combined with yin yoga and sound healing, lavender enhances the restorative experience, helping the body and mind fully surrender into the present moment.

Together, these three botanicals create a harmonious blend that soothes the body, opens the heart, and enhances meditative awareness, making them the perfect complement to this Valentine’s Day Self-Love Event.

Yin Yoga is the perfect practice for a Valentine’s Day Self-Love Event because it encourages deep self-connection, emotional release, and inner stillness. Yin is a slow, meditative practice that allows us to truly be with ourselves, fostering self-acceptance, patience, and self-care—all essential elements of love, especially self-love.

This practice helps us slow down and tune in, making space for introspection, relaxation, and healing. In the context of this event, Yin Yoga provides the ideal foundation for setting heartfelt intentions, absorbing the benefits of the tea ceremony, and fully surrendering to the vibrations of the sound bath and tuning forks.

The Health Benefits of Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga works deeply on both the physical and energetic body, offering numerous benefits that align beautifully with the theme of self-care and renewal:

    1.    Enhances Flexibility & Joint Health – Long-held poses target connective tissues, fascia, and joints, improving mobility, circulation, and flexibility over time.

    2.    Encourages Deep Relaxation – Holding poses for extended periods activates the parasympathetic nervous system, shifting the body out of stress mode and into rest and repair.

    3.    Balances Energy Flow – Yin Yoga is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and works along meridians, much like acupuncture, helping clear energetic blockages and promote emotional well-being.

    4.    Supports Emotional Release – Stored tension and emotions can surface when we slow down. Yin Yoga provides a safe, nurturing space to process and release emotional stress.

    5.    Improves Mindfulness & Meditation – Since poses are held for several minutes, Yin cultivates stillness and awareness, training the mind to stay present and engaged in self-reflection.

    6.    Reduces Anxiety & Stress – By slowing the breath and stimulating the vagus nerve, Yin Yoga lowers cortisol levels, helping to relieve anxiety, overwhelm, and tension.

For this Valentine’s Self-Love Event, Yin Yoga provides the perfect way to honor and nourish the body, mind, and spirit. It allows participants to deeply relax, reconnect with themselves, and embrace self-love in a meaningful, restorative way.
