Join us for a Valentine's Patching Workshop!Bring a garment, textile, bag, or any other fabric item that you'd like to embellish with patches!Jeni and Sherry will provide mini-lessons on two ways to patch:Sherry will demo how to hand sew a patch using the traditional Japanese sashiko method, Jeni will demo a machine sewing method - and you're off on your patching adventure!You'll take home a newly revived piece and perhaps with a heart on your sleeve!?We will provide:- a variety of heart shaped fabric patches- scrap fabric to cut your own patches- scissors- thread- needles/pins- sewing machines- moral support!

Jeni Falldine studied art and textiles at the Appalachian Center for Craft in Tennessee. With over 20 years of experience in sewing clothing, she is especially drawn to the magic of dance costume, upcycling, and immaculate fit. Sherry Koyama is the founder/designer of women's clothing line Harumi K. She has degrees in Psychology and Studio Art from University of California, Davis and a Patternmaking/Fashion Design Certificate from Apparel Arts in San Francisco. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Dress for Success Seattle and is a member of Impact 100 Seattle.
