About this Event
Indulge in a little heart-centered creativity this Valentine's Day with another Botanical Embroidery workshop! Join local herbalist and botanical artisan, Lauren Snyder, as you learn some basic stitches, share in joyful community, and create your own botanical embroidery piece. All materials will be provided and participants will leave with everything they need to create a beautiful work of art imbued with loving energy and plant inspired magic. All levels of experience are welcome!
Lauren is a queer herbalist and botanical artisan who is passionate about bringing people and plants together through cultivation and creativity. The third generation of their family to live in the Ojai Valley, Lauren grew up with a deep connection to the land, plants, and ecosystems there. Throughout life, Lauren discovered that no matter what she did, all roads lead back to the plants. Whether it was in the garden, piled amongst a binder full of herbalism notes, woven into the threads of floral embroidery, or captured in the words of poetry; the plants were always there as guides, teachers, and healers. Lauren is the owner and founder of Thimble and Seed; a botanical boutique with an array of herbal creations that inspires others to find their own ways to explore the wisdom and whimsy of the plant world.
