Vaachikam – Storytelling & Expressive Reading Workshop
Vaachikam is a unique storytelling and expressive reading workshop designed for anyone who wants to improve their stage speaking, storytelling, and voice expression skills.
This workshop will be led by Naishadh Purani, a seasoned theatre artist and radio professional with over 20 years of experience in theatre and radio programming. He is currently associated with Jalso Music & Podcast App, where he has been contributing to programming and content for the past 9 years.
During his time at Jalso, he and his team have created more than 700 Gujarati stories and produced over 100 audio shows, bringing literature, storytelling, and audio entertainment to a wide audience through the platform.
Through this workshop, participants will learn practical techniques to read fluently and expressively in Gujarati, Hindi, and English. The session will focus on voice modulation, emotional expression, pronunciation, and the art of bringing stories to life through voice.
For the past 15 years, Naishadh Purani and his team have been presenting Vaachikam storytelling events across various cultural and literary platforms. Their performances have been featured at well-known venues and events such as Abhivyakti City Arts, the Ahmedabad International Book Festival, and programs organized by Gujarat Sahitya Parishad, along with many other cultural gatherings and private events.
Over the years, Naishadh Purani and his team have successfully connected with a wide range of audiences. Their storytelling has resonated with traditional literature enthusiasts as well as modern Gen Z audiences who enjoy contemporary audio storytelling formats. This ability to adapt storytelling styles allows them to engage listeners across generations and backgrounds.
Together, they have successfully presented more than 100 Vaachikam storytelling shows, engaging audiences with powerful narration, expressive reading, and captivating storytelling.
