V Day 2025: What's Going On? marks Grassrooted's return to storytelling in Colombo. We have spent the last six years working across Sri Lanka on the prevention of sexual and gender-based violence and have new stories to share. Stories that explore sexual violence in schools, having an abortion in Sri Lanka in 2025, pornography in an AI age, addiction to ICE, Nigerians scamming old ladies in Colombo, other old ladies reminiscing about their risque photo shoots in the 80s, targeting queers in Mirihana, and general murder and mayhem.
We invite you to join us for a laugh at how ridiculous we can be.

Written by Paba Deshapriya, Hans Billimoria, Bhoomi Harendran [Becoming Me], and Navodha Bennet [Stitched Narratives], and directed by Jith Pieris and Hans Billimoria, V Day 2025: What's Going On? promises to push buttons and make you moist.
There will be depictions of sexual violence, and generally mature themes, and that's why we're an ADULTS ONLY show.
Sinhala and Tamil performances will feature English subtitles, and as always we will strive to be authentic, and reflect our current realities.
This year we will be performing at the RISE UP wearhouse in Colombo 3 next to IDEA HELL near the Beira Lake. We feel at home here. So will you.
