An unique wildlife art exhibition “Untamed” held at the Lionel Wendt art gallery from 14th to the 16th of November 2025 is an iconic event, marking the reunion of some of the most senior and reputed wildlife artists in Sri Lanka.Two decades ago, a collective of six emerging wildlife artists came together, driven by a shared hope to elevate Sri Lankan wildlife art and promote awareness and thereby conservation of the wild heritage of Sri Lanka. The assemblage is unique, as the artist are professionally immersed in the wild, from Researchers, Conservationists and Naturalists. All artists in their respective fields are authorities in Birds, Marine life and Reptiles.
The exhibits are reflective of varied styles and techniques with a deep understanding of the subject matter depicted. “Untamed” would certainly be an exhibition of Wildlife Paintings of exceptional proportions and an experience into Sri Lankan Wildlife art. The mastery of various styles of paintings ranging from watercolor, Oil to Acrylic by of 6 reputed painters bring in unique personal perspectives into the exhibits.
