About this Event
Hosted by Uzazi Village in honor of Black Maternal Health Week, Uzazi’s Tour de Troost is more than just an event—it’s an experience rooted in community, connection, and care.
Join us on April 18th for a guided shuttle tour along the historic Troost corridor, where we’ll highlight and celebrate local Black-owned businesses while uplifting the importance of Black maternal health and wellness.
Participants will hop aboard our shuttle and travel together to a curated selection of black businesses on Troost. At each stop, you’ll:
- Meet and support local entrepreneurs
- Hear the stories behind their businesses
- Enjoy samples, special offers, or exclusive discounts
- Learn about vital maternal health resources and information from Uzazi Village staff
Throughout the tour, we’ll be sharing information about programs that directly support families in our community. These things include doula training, prenatal and postpartum care, diaper support, healthcare appointments, free food distribution, and more.
After the business crawl, join us back at Uzazi for a community block party filled with:
🎶 Music & live vibes
🍴 Food trucks
🏥 Health screenings & community resources
🎈 Bounce houses & family-friendly activities
💛 Opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate together
Whether you’re coming to discover new businesses, connect with resources, or simply enjoy a day full of joy and community—this event is for YOU 💜
Come ride, connect, and celebrate with us as we uplift Black businesses and champion healthier futures for Black moms, babies, and families!
