Pop-up Exhibition / Open from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. / Free admission_____________________
This exhibition aims to highlight the human rights violations committed by the government of the People's Republic of China (PRC) against Uyghurs, Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, and other Turkic people in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (hereinafter Uyghur Region), with a particular focus on internment camps, gender-based violence, forced labor, and family separation. These individuals are predominantly Muslim, though some are members of other ethnic and religious minority groups.
The photos on display are intended to showcase visuals that make people stop, think, and act on the current human rights violations and abuses happening in the Uyghur Region. The text and testimonials put the photos in context and provide further evidence of the repression and persecution of Uyghurs and other Turkic people.

The one-day pop-up exhibition is open from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
On the same day, at 6:30 p.m., the film "In Search of My Sister" will be shown at the Amerikahaus, followed by a discussion about the Human Rights Situation of Uyghurs in Xinjiang with Rushan Abbas, an activist for the human rights of the Uyghur people. Admission is free, prior registration is required.
