About this Event
The Forum will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 4:30 to 6:00 PM at the Soules College of Business, Room 321. We will provide refreshments. There is no cost for the event, but donations will be accepted to defer the cost of the Forum.
This year, we are focusing on Family Business in Tyler as part of the Semiquincentennial, the 250th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Declaration of Independence. What are some of the family businesses that have contributed to the growth and prosperity of Tyler? How do family businesses contribute to the East Texas economy? How may we support family businesses in East Texas? The keynote speaker will be Andy Bergfeld, who is the President of Bergfeld Realty Company and a fifth generation Tylerite. Dr. Jim Cater and Dr. Marilyn Young will also speak about recent research in family business.
The event will be on campus on the third floor of the Soules College of Business. Please sign up right away because seating in Room 321 is limited.
