About the Lecture:
The Battle of Hampton Roads ended in a draw with both sides claiming victory. USS Monitor scored a tactical victory blocking the Confederate ironclad from destroying any more Union wooden warships. CSS Virginia destroyed or damaged eight ships and blocked the Union’s use of the James River during the early stages of the Peninsula Campaign.
In person is free for Museum Members and included in $1 admission.
This lecture is also livestreamed and free to watch online.
