Walkers are encouraged to attend the event. Our purpose is to provide a first rate race venue while taking appropriate time to honor Brian Ray Hoke, as well as the rest of our fallen shipmates.
The museum will open at 9 AM. All are welcome to tour this world class museum, free of charge, and reflect on the history of the United States and the Marine Corps on this Remembrance Day.

5k – 8am
1 Mile – 8 AM
Registration Fees
$35 – including tee shirt – if registered prior to May 6.
***Price will increase on race morning by $5.
T-shirts are guaranteed to runners registered before May 6. All paid registrants will receive a t-shirt but registrants after May 6th are not guaranteed to have it on race day. Shirts not ready on race day will be mailed out after the event to the address on the registration.

T-shirt design for the race is available here as soon as it has been approved.
Course Maps
The course will traverse the beautiful grounds of the National Museum of the Marine Corps.
The 5K course is 2 laps through the picturesque grounds while the one-mile course is a partial lap through the grounds.
The course includes gently rolling terrain with some moderate elevation. It is entirely paved and on the Museum’s property.
Live Race Results
Live results will be posted on Athlinks.com. Additionally, there will be a QR code at the race for you to scan to immediately view your results. Final race results with series points will be posted to our website on the Monday following your race.
Runner tracking is now available when you sign up for a race with Bishop’s Events. Click on the green SMS button (see example below) at the end of your registration and have your race updates sent to your mobile device as well as those of your friends & family so they can track your race progress.
Photos
We will post any photos taken by staff on our Facebook page by Tuesday after the event.

Packet Pickup
May 25: 7-7:45 AM at the Start Line area. Start line will be located near the entrance to the Museum.
Remarks and remembrances will take place a 7:45 AM with the race starting at 8 AM.
Race Day Registration
There will be race day registration. Participants will need to arrive approximately one hour before the race to register for the event.
***Price for race day registration will $40.
Water Stations
One water station will be located along the 5K course as you pass the start/finish line after lap 1. Water stations are subject to change as deemed necessary.
Restrooms
Restrooms are in the foyer of the National Museum of the Marine Corps. The Museum opens at 9 AM but the foyer restrooms will be available all morning for race participants. Restrooms are also available midway thru the 1 mile course and 3/4 thru the 5K lap – near the Chapel.
Weather Policy
We are an all-weather race company (rain or shine or sleet or snow). We will email registered runners and post on social media if the race is cancelled, but this is quite rare, otherwise assume the race is taking place as scheduled.
Weekly weather reports are posted on the Thursday before race weekends on our Facebook page. Race officials may delay, change or postpone the event due to weather conditions. All registered runners will be notified via email of any changes. In most cases, a decision is not made until the night before the race, and a decision could come as late as the morning of the event.

Directions to Parking
Abundant parking is available at the National Museum of the Marine Corps main lot. Do not park for the race in the Chapel parking lot (please see course map).
