Using Negative Space: A Generative Poetry Workshop

When is it better to leave something unsaid? In this workshop we will read poems that use language, structure, and content to tell stories built around empty space. You’ll practice using your unique narrative voice to navigate absence and explore ways in which uncertainty can invite your reader to become an active character in your work. This workshop will include list poems, prose-poetry, and blackout poetry exercises.
