University of Saskatchewan President Peter Stoicheff and Michael Bradley, Dean of the College of Engineering invite you to attend an inspiring afternoon of connection and community at the annual USask Engineering Alumni Calgary Luncheon.
This year’s luncheon will feature a compelling panel discussion:
“The Power of Nuclear Energy: Is Now the Time? How USask Engineering is Preparing the Next Generation of Nuclear Energy Professionals."
Special guest panellists include:
- Tom Kishchuk (BE’87, MSc'89, Mechanical), Founding Executive Director of the Global Institute for Energy, Minerals and Society (GIEMS)
- Vanessa White, Executive Director, Clean Technology, Alberta Innovates

As Alberta explores cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions, nuclear energy is emerging as a key player in the province's future energy mix. This panel will explore the opportunities and challenges of nuclear power, its potential role in Alberta's energy industry, and how the University of Saskatchewan (USask) is equipping students with the skills and knowledge to lead in this evolving field.

The Calgary Engineering Alumni Luncheon is an annual event hosted by USask engineering alumni to provide Calgary and area alumni with an opportunity to re-connect and to welcome new graduates as well as USask engineers to our city and keep up to date with recent developments at the College of Engineering.
