About this Event
Investors often gravitate toward the US market, making it one of the most intensively researched and efficiently priced arenas in the world. With unparalleled analyst coverage, abundant data, and constant media attention, US equities can often be over-analysed by the every-day investor. While not always, the phrase ‘the simpler the better’ resonates in this case as we look into performance and flows into most widely tracked US equity index, the S&P 500.
In contrast, Singapore equities remain relatively overlooked despite offering structural strengths that are often underappreciated. The market is anchored by high quality financials, dominant regional champions, and defensive sectors such as real estate, infrastructure, and telecommunications. Strong corporate governance, consistent dividend payouts, and Singapore’s role as a gateway to Southeast Asia provide stability and optionality, particularly in a world marked by volatility and shifting supply chains. Yet limited global coverage and a perception of low growth continue to suppress investor attention.
Join us at this seminar on 23 Mar, at 7pm where Mr Kunhee Park, Vice President and ETF Equities Strategist for APAC at State Street Investment Management, will walk you through the case and key tailwinds for Singapore Equities.
