About this Event
Escape the hustle and bustle of city life without leaving the inner city. Join us for a one-day yoga retreat at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre, a peaceful haven in the heart of Toronto.
The day begins with meditation and daily chants and continues with yoga classes and workshops. It also includes a nutritious vegetarian brunch and dinner. You don’t have to be familiar with meditation practice to participate. However, it helps if you have a basic practice of yoga postures and breathing techniques.
Cell phones cannot be used during the retreat.
Please keep mouna (silence) when you arrive. You are welcome to break the silence after the morning satsang.
Schedule:
8 am: Satsang (meditation, singing, and prayers)
9 am: Yoga class
11am: Vegetarianbrunch
Noon: Meditation workshop
2 pm: Silent walk
3 pm: Tea and sharing
4 pm: Yoga class
5:30 pm: Dinner
6:15 pm: Closing prayer
