Join Urban Sketchers Sarasota for a taste of local flavor at the award winning Siesta Key Rum Distillery.You can enjoy our local Siesta Key Rum just about anywhere. But you can only watch it being made in one spot, and that's right here in Sarasota.
Join a tour to learn the story of Siesta Key Rum and Drum Circle Distilling, hear about the awards Siesta Key Rum as won and the secrets to making it all taste so good. There is also a gift shop where you can find yummy treats, rums to take home and gifts.
Then settle in with a delicious rum cocktail to sketch the unique stills, process and storage that make this distillery such a fun spot to draw.
Tour times are typically at 11:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00pm so if you choose, you can sketch first and then tour. Sign up for tours on the Siesta Key Rum website to assure your spot.
Meet Up: As always, we'll have a brief meet and greet at 10:30am and meet up again to throw down at 12:20pm. In the meantime, the tasting counter will be open and you can grab a delicious rum cocktail at the bar to make your sketching adventure even more entertaining!
