About this Event
Spring Break Book Series Workshop is a week-long workshop during SFUSD Spring Break. We are looking for SF Middle School Youth who would like the opportunity to work with a Black Children's Book Author, Jesse Byrd to create a story, design, and illustrate a book as a class. Once the students have added all of their creativity into the story, it is then sent to profesional authors, illustrators and editors to round it out. When that is complete, the book will then be published and printed. Participating students will receive a free copy with their name on it, and the books will then be sold online at stores like Barnes & Noble!
We are only able to accept 20 youth to participate in this workshop, so please fill out the Interest form link: https://form.jotform.com/232978656445169. Acceptance emails will be sent out in early/mid March.
