In a world filled with noise, tension, and division, where do believers gather to think deeply, grow spiritually, and build authentic community — when it’s not Sunday?

Upper Room Sessions is an intimate evening designed for young adults and adults who desire more than surface-level faith conversations.

Inspired by the early church in Acts 2, this is a sacred space to pause, reflect, and be formed by the Word of God together.

Hosted by the Young Adult Ministry of House of Refuge COGIC in partnership with Selah Lounge, this gathering is thoughtfully curated for mature believers seeking meaningful dialogue, spiritual grounding, and genuine fellowship beyond the traditional church setting.

This gathering is curated specifically for adults. We love our children and teens, but this evening is for grown fellowship and mature conversation. Please arrange childcare and join us fully present.

This intentional connection hour creates space for thoughtful introductions, guided table prompts, and warm conversation in a relaxed lounge atmosphere.

Head over to the Selah Cafe and gather your snacks and drinks to get ready for an unforgettable night of worship, conversation and fellowship.

We plan to go deep... let these questions frame your mind for where we plan to go:

What does unity look like in a fractured culture?
How do we remain devoted to Christ when the world pulls us in different directions?
What shaped the early church — and what should shape us now?

This is a space for honest dialogue, biblical clarity, and Spirit-led insight because our textbook is the Holy Bible.

Prayer

We will intentionally pause to pray for together.

As the early church devoted themselves to prayer, we will close our time of conversation by seeking the Lord together — asking Him to shape us into the kind of community described in Acts.

Seating is extremely limited to preserve the intimate atmosphere of the evening. Early registration is encouraged.

Café treats, specialty drinks, and light refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the night.

Parking on the premises is limited.

Guests are encouraged to prepare to park in the surrounding community area if needed. Please allow additional time for arrival to ensure a smooth and relaxed entry into the experience.
