Upcycling Toys: Keychain Creation

Discover new ways to give life to your old toys by learning the process of upcycling your favorite forgotten objects with guidance from Star. 

In class we'll cover the basics creating a visually appealing keychain and how to make your old toys into something new and exciting! Participants are able to select from a plethora of old toys to convert into keychains, bead from a plethora of hand selected beads, and take home something that is wholly unique to each participant! 

All material supplies are provided, and no prior jewelry making experience is necessary.

This workshop is great for trinket enthusiasts of Ages 10+

About Star Lahey-Buckley

Star Lahey-Buckley (they/them) is a mixed-media artist residing in the Bay Area who focuses on blending digital and physical media in the forms of tangible objects. These objects include canvas collages, keychains, and art prints.

Star focuses on self-expression through multiple mediums as a form of connecting with others. Their work focuses on a connection between their younger self and the present and how that relationship we have to our childhood joys can bring us closer to being our most authentic selves in the present.
