About this Event
Join us for a creative, hands-on sustainability workshop organised in collaboration with Chaplaincy and the Living La - In the Living Lab Hub (formally Launchpad). This interactive event invites you to explore upcycling through the art of sewing, transforming reused and donated materials into meaningful, practical tote bags.
During the session, you’ll have the opportunity to create your own tote bag from reclaimed fabrics at our sewing machine station, guided by friendly support throughout. At our hand-sewing station, you can stitch inspirational climate quotes and designs using repurposed fabric patches, adding a personal and powerful message to your creation.
If you can’t stay for the full workshop, you’re still very welcome to drop in and make a hand-sewn patch to attach to your own pre-existing tote bag or clothing. It’s a simple way to take part, learn a new skill, and carry a climate-positive message with you.
Whether you’re an experienced sewer or a complete beginner, this is a relaxed, welcoming space to craft, connect, and contribute to a more sustainable future
