Larry Frates’ metal embossing workshop introduces participants to the art of creating intricate designs on soft metal using stylus tools. In this hands-on class, attendees will learn techniques for embossing and engraving, working on both the front and back of metal sheets to create raised or indented patterns. With demonstrations led by Larry, participants can explore their creativity while mastering this unique medium, often incorporating upcycled materials for added sustainability and innovation.Larry Frates is presently the Creative Arts Consultant at the Prescott Farm Environmental Education Center in Laconia,New Hampshire. Prior to this he served six years as the Artist in Residence at the Historic Belknap Mill located in Laconia, New Hampshire.
