About this Event

(Dieser Kurs wird auf Englisch durchgeführt, jedoch wird bei Bedarf Unterstützung in Deutsch angeboten.)
Bring your worn, forgotten, or logo-covered tote bag, and we’ll help you turn it into a one-of-a-kind piece using fun and creative patchwork techniques. You’ll learn how to design and sew patches using scrap fabric—no previous sewing experience needed!
What You’ll Learn:
🧵 Basics of patchwork using scrap materials
🧷 How to apply patches using techniques like appliqué, slow stitch, raw edge, and blanket stitch
🌈 Creative ways to cover logos and stains with fabric art
We’ll primarily be hand stitching for a relaxing, meditative pace, but we’ll also have a sewing machine available for anyone who’d like to try or speed things up.
What’s Provided:
✔ All sewing supplies and materials (needles, thread, fabric scraps, scissors, etc.)
✔ A sewing machine on hand for optional use
✔ Hands-on guidance in a relaxed, friendly environment
✔ Tea, laughter, and a creative community
What to Bring:
👜 Just one (or more!) old tote bag(s) you'd love to transform
Whether you're a seasoned stitcher or have never sewn a single stitch, this is a laid-back, beginner-friendly space to experiment, learn, and leave with a totally transformed tote.
