Upcoming Taster Lecture - New Year's Resolutions for Engaging with Community

New Year’s Resolutions for Engaging with Community is a taster class inviting us to reflect theologically and practically on how we enter, inhabit, and work alongside communities in 2026. Drawing on the biblical vision of shalom, the session will explore community engagement not as “fixing problems” but as seeking the flourishing of people and places.
The class will consider what it means to go upstream—to look beyond immediate needs and symptoms towards deeper causes of injustice and exclusion. Emphasis will be placed on working with communities rather than for them.
This interactive taster offers space for discussion, reflection, and practical insight for those exploring theology, ministry, and community engagement in their lives.
