About this Event
The University of Ottawa is opening up!
Reconnect with your alma mater in a new way during Homecoming with the uOttawa Explorer, a self-guided campus adventure.
Whether you have never set foot on campus or graduated several years ago, this unique open house is an opportunity to see innovation at uOttawa. This event is open to everyone, and the external community is welcome.
Explore 10+ engaging stops including the Gaming Hub, Innova, Museum of Classical Antiquities, Cyber Range, Aquarium and more. Staff and volunteers will be at each stop to lead live demos, fun activities and exciting giveaways, making this a memorable experience for all.
Developed by a uOttawa student through the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Engineering Design (CEED), the Explorer app transforms a simple tour into an interactive experience by using geo-location check-ins.
A few days before the event, those who register will receive access to the uOttawa Explorer app to sign up. Participants will also be able to use the app to reserve time slots for specific activities in English or French. The app will also provide a detailed map with check-in points and addresses for all locations, helping guests navigate the tour with ease.
The more stops a participant visit, the more chances they have to win prizes during Homecoming!
