About this Event

Unveiled Exhibition Opening Event

Unveiled is an exhibition by 16 students from Edinburgh Collage of Art (ECA). The group of third year students have spent this academic year engaging with the unique context of Lauriston Castle. Their works respond to the castle's hidden histories and interlaced narratives to reveal what lies beneath the surface of Lauriston Castle. In this centenary year for Lauriston, their works, celebrate, pay tribute and shed new light on the complexities of the castle's history. Their ambitious, multimedia works will be installed throughout the castle and grounds.

Works by: Scarlett Roberts, Autumn Myles, Ruby Hollins, Ava Tumblety, Rose Yao, Hua Tong, Tom Jenkins, Diana Chen, Alula Brooke, Jess Lunt, Caitlin Lloyd, Emily Rose Muncey, Sandy Du, Eleonora Bagrina, Ella McCann Murphy and Lauren Hall

The memorial consists of 13 colourful gravestones containing unique iconography and information about the executed, aiming to change the narrative of these individuals and commemorates their lives, sadly lost.
