In this O-Week event, UNSW Debating Society welcomes old and new UNSW debaters to a special alumni debate! Are UNSW’s best days ahead of us, or behind us? Find out from the best of UNSW’s current debaters, as well as storied alumni including James Hooke, Kat Cheng, and Rosalind Dixon. Come along for an opportunity for students and alumni to connect with each other – all DebSoc members, past and present, are invited to join in person or online, to catch up over some light refreshments, have a drink and a laugh.
Although there is a free ticket option to help gauge numbers, please note all proceeds will go toward UNSW's Centre for Indigenous Programs, Nura Gili, and to DebSoc - to help it offer greater financial support to teams hoping to travel to tournaments in 2025 - 2026. In the context of substantially less funding than comparable societies, any and all contributions are welcome.
