Unsung Heroes23 September – 2 November
This exhibition by the group Learning Through the Arts celebrates people of African and Caribbean descent who have all made remarkable contributions across a broad range of fields, from the arts and medicine to science and sports. There are so many more people who also merit recognition in exhibitions like this, but the group here has been chosen to highlight the accomplishments of personalities who might not be widely known. Learning Through the Arts and North Hertfordshire Museum both hope that this exhibition will help shine the spotlight on these exceptional personalities and raise awareness of their significant contributions to the country.
For this exhibition staff at North Hertfordshire Museum have also selected two local lesser-known, but fascinating figures, to highlight.
This show aims to inspire future generations to pursue excellence in their chosen fields, to reach greater heights, and commit themselves to impactful, selfless endeavours.
