About this Event

Join us on February 11th, 2026, for a free, in-person educational event.

This session will feature Jami Shapiro of Silver Linings Transitions and Julie Derry, a Placement Specialist focused on helping overwhelmed homeowners move from “stuck” to ready to sell through professional move management and senior transition planning.

Many homeowners want to sell but never list—not because they're unmotivated, but because they're paralyzed by the overwhelming logistics of sorting, packing, and transitioning decades of belongings. In this presentation, you'll discover how move management services bridge the gap between intention and action, transforming your "someday" clients into active listings. Learn what move managers actually do, when to refer clients, and how this partnership helps you close deals that might otherwise remain stuck in limbo—all while providing compassionate, expert support during one of life's most stressful transitions.

What You’ll Learn:

Why many homeowners delay selling and how move management solves this problem

What move managers actually do and when to refer clients

How agents can turn “someday” sellers into active listings

How senior-focused planning creates smoother, faster transitions

How to better support clients during emotionally and logistically difficult moves

Who This Event Is For:

Realtors with clients who want to sell but feel overwhelmed

Homeowners and seniors considering downsizing or transitioning

Families helping aging parents prepare for a move

Featured Speakers:

Jami Shapiro – Founder, Silver Linings Transitions

For Founder Jami Shapiro, Silver Linings Transitions was born out of a deeply personal moment—a chapter of life filled with uncertainty, emotion, and the daunting task of helping a loved one downsize. That experience became the spark that would inspire Jami to build a business rooted in empathy, organization, and a fierce commitment to supporting others during life’s biggest transitions.

With a background in real estate and a passion for serving others, Jami quickly recognized that people facing major changes—especially older adults and their families—needed more than just movers or checklists. They needed kindness. They needed clarity. And they needed someone to walk alongside them, not just get the job done.

So, she became a Certified Senior Advisor, and built a team to help her accomplish her mission. Jami also went on to complete her ADDCA Coach Training and now serves on the Board of Directors for NASMM.

From the very beginning, Silver Linings Transitions has been guided by Jami’s belief that every move is more than just a change of address—it’s a life moment. Her approach blends practical expertise with heartfelt support, turning overwhelming tasks into manageable steps and offering reassurance every step of the way.

Jami’s work has now touched hundreds of families and individuals, helping them move forward with grace, dignity, and often a bit of laughter along the way. Whether she’s speaking at a community event, training new team members, educating others on ADHD in seniors, or personally checking in with a client, she brings the same passion to every interaction: a deep desire to help people find peace, purpose, and yes—a silver lining—in whatever change they’re facing.
