A solo electric guitar concert is a journey through diverse sonic landscapes. This concert will showcase 5 distinct "planets," starting with the delicate sounds of Laurence Crane and moving through Lisa Illean's scordatura to Giulia Lorusso's loop-based composition "Unspoken" and her fragile "À fleur de peau" Additionally, the premiere of a new piece by Ying Wang, written for Ruben Mattia's American tour.

Ruben Mattia Santorsa (1992) is an Italian classical and electric guitarist.

Contemporary music is currently at the heart of his work and his artistic manifesto. He firmly believesthat through it we can convey a message of openness, acceptance and social, political and cultural renewal, much needed in today’s society.

He premiered pieces of composers such as Giulia Lorusso, Lisa Streich, Clara Iannotta, Peter Ablinger.

He has a guitar duo with Adrian Pereyra, and he is the electric guitar player of the viennese ensemble The Black Page Orchestra.

In addition to his career as a soloist, he is also continuing his research on contemporary music in chamber music, performing regularly with ensembles and orchestras such as Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Helsinki Philharmonic, SWR Stuttgart Orchestra, DSO Berlin, Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien, Tonhalle Zürich, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Orchestra Haydn di Bolzano e Trento, Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Karajan Akademie, Lucerne Festival Academy Orchestra, Mosaik Ensemble, Ensemble Contrechamps, MDI Ensemble, NEC Ensemble and Sonemus Ensemble, with conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Enno Poppe, Matthias Pintscher, Peter Eötvös, Marin Alsop in the KKL Lucerne, Elbphilharmonie of Hamburg, Philharmonie Berlin and Victoria Hall Genève.

He gave a lecture about the Contemporary guitar in Paris (Conservatoire Supérieur de musique et danse), Boston (New England Conservatory), Chicago (Northwestern University), Lisbon (Escola Superior de Música), Sevilla (Conservatorio Superior de Música Manuel Castillo), San Sebastian (Musikene).


Lawrence Crane (*1961) is a British composer. He is currently Professor of Composition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.[6]Giulia Lorusso (*1990) is an Italian composer based in Paris. She wrote numerous pieces for electric guitar and she is working with Ruben Mattia Santorsa (*1992) since many years. She is one of the most innovative voices of her generation.Ying Wang is a Chinese/german composer based in Berlin. Her research about the sound and new techniques is perfectly match with the electric guitar sounds. Lisa Illean (*1983) is an Australian composer based in U.K.Her music has been described as "exquisitely quiet shadows shaded with microtunings
