Join Catherine Summers’ 6-piece ensemble for a mesmerising journey as she presents her 2024 live studio album release ‘APRICITY’, as well as selections from her award-winning FRINGE FESTIVAL 24’ show, ’20s Reimagined’.
Summers has been performing reworkings of popular modern classics with great success. What is REIMAGINED? Well, think Like-A-Version pop into jazz, an audacious fusion of past and present reinventing modern pop songs as early 20th century jazz compositions.
This jazz show breathes jazz life into pop favourites. What if Taylor Swift performed with Louis Armstrong? Expect to hear songs from artists such as Duran Duran, Amy Winehouse, Lana Del Rey, Beyoncé, Bill Withers, The Eurythmics, Elton John and many more. All performed with a jazz improv style as though straight from the era known as the birth of jazz, where 1920s charm and New York Jazz meets contemporary cool!
