Presented by ACRE.
Description
Are you ready to turn ideas into action?
You’ve explored what’s possible. Now it’s time to move.
REGISTER NOW to be part of this open community workshop.
Building on earlier sessions offered in the Lead a New Future for Your Community series, this practical and facilitated workshop will help participants to:
· Identify innovation and opportunities emerging in your community
· Connect local strengths, skills and networks
· Choose a clear and achievable starting point
· Commit to practical next steps
· Build shared accountability and momentum.
Is this workshop for me?
This workshop is open to all members of the community - the more voices and perspectives in the room, the better!
We welcome and encourage members of volunteer groups, business owners, people from government and support agencies, school students and people who are new to the community.
This is not another brainstorming session that ends with a long list of ideas. Instead, you will work through a structured process designed to generate visible and achievable momentum.
Co-facilitated by ACRE and local alumni from Translating Leadership into Action, this workshop is about strengthening community ownership and building local leadership capability.
If you care about the future of your community and want to help shape what happens next, please join us.
What is the cost?
Thanks to funding support from Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) there is no cost to attend. Resources, refreshments and light lunch will be provided.
Why is this happening in Benalla?
Led by the Australian Centre for Rural Entrepreneurship and co-hosted by Benalla Rural City, this open community session is the next stage of ‘Lead a new future for your community’, a program designed to
· support economic diversification planning in communities affected by Victoria’s transition away from native timber harvesting in State forests, including Benalla
· connect and support emerging leaders, building on and activating strategies developed by innovation working groups across northern Victoria,
· foster connection, unlock thinking, develop leadership capabilities, and encourage action.
