Through simple and concrete tasks, you will practice listening, trusting your impulses, and staying intentional.
The workshop draws from Gard Lervang’s ongoing research in freestyle hip hop, butoh, and his own practice forest dancing. These practices combine rhythm, physical honesty, and sensory awareness into a versatile movement toolkit.
You will explore how your movement is perceived and how to remain authentic while dancing for an audience.
The workshop offers a supportive environment where you can explore, take risks, and gradually build trust in your body and its ability to respond.
The workshop is open to all levels. Beginners are supported with clear guidance, while seasoned dancers will find space to deepen awareness and push beyond familiar patterns.
