Outdoor drawing and painting offers an opportunity to tune into the surroundings like no other. Sounds, lighting variations, colors, scents, trees and leafs evoke different subjective feelings within us which can be translated on the paper through elements such as Repetition, Variety, Intensity, Rhythm, Light and Darkness. We will approach the paper with any particular idea and let ourselves be guided by our intuition.
Something more about the process:
Through an opening circle we will create space for introductions and share insights to set intentions for the workshop. A guided meditation and movement practice combined with a charcoal exercise will get us ready for expression. From this state, we will then give shape to our emotions through textures and colors. The art practice will focus on the process and not on the final outcome, allowing in this way your creativity to flow freely and find new directions along the path. The painting process will be the outcome of both practical painting tips and subconscious choices. The closing circle will be a space in which, if you wish to, you can share your experience with the other participants. We will share insights for you to reflect on and read your painting. Sessions are guided, all levels are welcome!
Our painting sessions focus on trusting the creative process and giving ourselves the permission to create with self-compassion. Whether you are a creative, an artist or you have no experience we encourage you to join us from exactly where you are. This session it is about carving time to try new things and get inspired by your surroundings without taking yourself too seriously!
