The last three decades have seen an incredible increase in scientists' knowledge of planets around other stars, also known as exoplanets. Come and learn about the thousands of exoplanets that have been detected in this time, the billions of exoplanets that are thought to exist in just our own Milky Way Galaxy, and how scientists can analyze their sizes, atmospheres, composition, and more — even when in most cases they are not directly seen.Free tickets will be available to reserve at 8:00 AM CT on Friday 11/29.
In conjunction with the show, the UNK Astronomy Club will hold telescope observingoutside of Bruner Hall of Science @ 8:00 PM(subject to weather conditions).
Shows are recommended for engaged grade school students through adults. Shows are strongly discouraged for ages 2 and under. Please be prepared to turn off phones and smartwatches, remove lighted shoes, etc., so that all participants may enjoy the show in its intended dark, quiet environment. Please arrive 5 minutes before your show, or ticket reservations may be released to allow for walk-in attendees.
