Did you know that many homes in Eastmorland still have racial covenants in their property deeds? Through the mid-20th century, racial covenants were used to prevent Black, Asian, and other non-white families from owning homes or living in certain neighborhoods. While these covenants are no longer enforceable, they are a legacy of discrimination and racism in our communities.
