The UM Business Matching Day 2026, held in conjunction with the UM Research, Innovation, and Industry Summit (UMRIIS) 2026 on 8-11 June 2026, is a strategic platform designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry. Organized by the UM Centre of Innovation and Enterprise (UMCIE), the event focuses on connecting Universiti Malaya’s ready-to-commercialize inventions with industry players, startups, and investors.
With the theme “ESG: Exploring New Frontiers in Sustainable Business”, the Business Matching Day will showcase innovative solutions and sustainable initiatives that drive environmental, social, and governance (ESG) impact across industries. The event provides opportunities for industry stakeholders to explore strategic collaborations, partnerships, and commercialization prospects while engaging directly with UM researchers to exchange insights, address sustainability challenges, and foster impactful partnerships towards a more responsible and future-ready business ecosystem.
