Unity Explorers first "High Adventure" hike! A perfect hike for children of all ages to collect fossilized shark teeth and other fossils and minerals. The Cabezon country is rugged, but NOT too difficult for anyone in good physical shape. The hike itself is not very long at all, (they say 400 yards from the parking area to the ridge), but the area is true wilderness and some of the most interesting land in New Mexico!. Bring a shovel and collection bag for your finds, sturdy shoes, water, snacks and a hat. High clearance vehicles are recommended but unless it has rained the area is accessible by car.
