About this Event

Join us for a special Veterans Day Concert at the Southwest Neighborhood Library, located at 900 Wesley Place SW, Washington, DC. The National Museum of the U.S. Navy, in association with the United States Navy Band and DC Public Library, presents the Navy Band Woodwind Quintet for your listening enjoyment. Register early here on Eventbrite.

About the Woodwind Quintet: Formed in 1985, the Navy Band Woodwind Quintet maintains a varied repertoire dating from the 18th to the 21st century. The quintet includes Musicians 1st Class Allison Fletcher, flute and Tyger Worosello, clarinet; Chief Musicians Jennifer Stokes, bassoon and Joshua Arvizu, oboe; and Chief Musician Nathaniel Willson, horn. The Navy Band Woodwind Quintet presents recitals at concert halls, churches, libraries, museums and parks throughout the National Capital Region. They frequently participate in the Navy Band's Music in the Schools program, demonstrating instruments for elementary and secondary school students. Woodwind quintet members are often featured soloists with the Concert Band.

About the National Museum of the United States Navy: The National Museum of the United States Navy opened to the public in 1963 at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. It's the only museum that presents an overview of U.S. naval history. Exhibitions and programs commemorate the Navy's wartime heroes and battles and its peacetime contributions to exploration, diplomacy, navigation, and humanitarian service.
