Alumni and students will join together for a chance to serve with us on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, as Unite Day + Into the Streets provides a community-driven morning of service.This year's collaboration between Unite Day and Student Involvement's Into the Streets brings a refreshed approach that features two meaningful volunteer opportunities.
Space is limited, and hard registration is required.
Event Schedule
Check-in & breakfast: 8:30 a.m. - McMahon Hall Courtyard
Rally: 9 a.m. - Campus Green
Service projects: 10 a.m. - noon
Transportation: Provided for all service sites
Volunteers will depart together for their selected site following the brief program.
Volunteer Opportunities
The Pathways
Service focus: Organizing and deep cleaning the storage unit, clothing closet, and computer room.
Location: 409 Richard Arrington Jr. Boulevard N
Attire: Clothing you don't mind getting dirty
Weather: Not canceled for rain.
Black Warrior Riverkeeper
Service focus: Litter pickup along the river using grabbers and gloves.
Location: A.G. Gaston Park, 916 Washington Avenue SW
Attire: Closed-toe shoes and clothes suitable for outdoor cleanup
Weather: Canceled in the event of rain
