Lerro Photography, in cooperation with the Iron Horse Society and Steamtown National Historic Site, has organized two exclusive night photo sessions featuring Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4012 and No. 4014 on June 27–28, 2026.During the photo sessions, both Big Boys will be positioned side by side and dramatically illuminated with Lerro Photography’s professional LED lighting. Reenactors, period props, and carefully staged scenes will help bring the setting to life. Artificial smoke will also be used to give Big Boy No. 4012 the appearance of being operational.
Do not miss this extremely rare and historic occasion. There is no telling when—or if—there will ever be another opportunity to photograph two Union Pacific Big Boys together.
Tickets are exclusively available to IHS members until Wednesday, May 6th, 2026 when they go on sale to the general public.
