The 2025 Unified 5k and AdaptXpo is an inclusive road race and adaptive sports expo that fosters community, connection, and competition. This year, we are excited to bring the event to the Salt Lake City community. The event emphasizes building inclusive communities, creating opportunities, and making fitness and physical activity accessible for people with intellectual and physical disabilities. Our organization, AdaptX addresses health discrepancies experienced by people with intellectual and physical disabilities through education, research, opportunity, and scholarship. We are a leading provider in adaptive fitness education and operate The Rick Hoyt Research Lab, which conducts impactful studies that improve fitness and reduce secondary health conditions for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.
These events support AdaptX initiatives, specifically our Scholarship and Ambassador Fund, which addresses socioeconomic barriers to participation so that we can make fitness accessible for all.
