Hinge ... how can such a brilliant concept in theory, fall so short in practice? Maroux and Saskia bring you Unhinged, The Musical. Through storytelling and song, these two mad-moiselles explore the pitfalls inherent in modern-day dating. Maroux didn’t want to do it … she was sure her Prince Charming would come along naturally … sipping on a hot chocolate next to her in a quaint café; a kind stranger offering to share his umbrella in the Melbourne rain; a Mr Darcy look-a-like browsing the classics section of Dymocks …
But alas, she’s thirty-something ... and none of the above have eventuated. So, Maroux did it … she downloaded Hinge. The rest can only be related through song and heartbreaking anecdotes that will at once entertain, shock and comfort you.
Joined by the incredible songbird Saskia on the keys, whose voice and musical talents will amaze you, witness these two little ladies become a force of nature as they fill the void between how love really is and how we would so dearly like it to be ... on Hinge.

At least 30 minutes before the show. Our performances start bang on time and it takes a hot second to welcome you into the building.

The Butterfly Club is a licensed venue. Accordingly, patrons under 18 are only allowed on premises in the company of a parent or legal guardian.

We strongly encourage using public transport. The Butterfly Club is a short stroll from Flinders Street station and Melbourne Central, and an even shorter stroll from any tram that travels through Swanston or Collins Streets (get off at Town Hall).
