Join Missouri Botanical Garden for Unfolding Nature's Calendar. This workshop is a great way for beginners and experts to learn more about climate change and how it affects plants in the Midwest. Educators will learn from scientists and educators through hands-on activities and behind the scenes tours.

WORKSHOP WILL INCLUDE:
- Background information on climate change
- An introduction to phenology
- Behind the scenes tour of Missouri Botanical Garden's Herbarium, one of the largest in the world
- Presentation from Garden scientists about their research on changes in bloom time and climate change connections
- Lesson plans and hands-on activities for your classroom
- Discussion with teachers who have piloted lessons
PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE:
- Lunch and a stipend
- Access to digital copies of all lesson activities and resources
- Give aways to get started in your classroom
This workshop is being conducted as part of Missouri Botanical Garden's participation in the Plants and Climate Change Education cohort, an initiative of the United States Botanic Garden and the American Public Gardens Association. Funding and collaboration in this peer learning group is enabling the Garden to develop climate change education programs for schools.
