Venez voir un chanteur néo-zélandais dans un opéra italien à l'Opéra Bastille à Paris.
Aida raconte le destin tragique d’une princesse éthiopienne faite esclave en Égypte, déchirée entre son amour pour Radames, général égyptien, et sa loyauté envers sa patrie. Rivale d’Amneris, fille du pharaon, Aida se retrouve prise dans un drame intime au cœur d’un conflit militaire. L’opéra de Verdi mêle grandeur spectaculaire (comme la célèbre marche triomphale) et émotion poignante, portée par des airs inoubliables tels que « Celeste Aida ».
Elle sera chantée en italien, avec des surtitres en français et en anglais, et durera 3h05 avec un entracte. Pour ceux qui le souhaitent, nous irons ensuite boire un verre à la Black Sheep Society, juste au coin de la rue.

Come see a New Zealand singer in an Italian opera at the Opéra Bastille in Paris.
Aida tells the tragic story of an Ethiopian princess enslaved in Egypt, torn between her love for Radames, an Egyptian general, and her loyalty to her homeland. Aida finds herself caught in a rivalry with Amneris, the Pharaoh’s daughter, and at the heart of an intimate drama set amid military conflict. Verdi’s opera blends grand spectacle (such as the famous Triumphal March) with powerful emotion, carried by unforgettable arias like “Celeste Aida.”
The performance will be sung in Italian with subtitles in French and English. It runs for 3 hours and 5 minutes with one intermission. For those interested, we’ll head for a drink at the Black Sheep Society, just around the corner, after the show.
